• The Squad Goals mobile applications on Android and iOS (the “Apps”)
• The Squad Goals website and any related web applications (collectively, the “Website”)

By accessing or using our Apps or Website (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

We collect various types of information to provide and improve the Service:

1. Personal Information
   • Name, Email Address: Used for creating and managing user accounts, personalizing your experience, and sending communications.
   • Uploaded Photos: If you upload photos that may contain personal or fitness-related information, these photos are processed and stored for the purpose of tracking your fitness progress or providing app functionality.
2. Fitness / Activity / Workout Information
   • Text or Metadata Provided by You: Any text data you enter describing your workouts or activity.
   • Photos and Related Metadata: This can include location data embedded in the photos if not removed by your device settings.
3. Device and Technical Data
   • Device Type, Operating System, IP Address: Used for diagnostics, analytics, and to ensure the Service is delivered effectively.
   • Location Data (Indirect or via IP): We do not directly track your GPS location. However, location data may be derived from your IP address or photo metadata.
4. Analytics and Usage Information
   • Behavioral Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on pages, and other usage details to improve our Service and user experience.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for purposes including, but not limited to:

1. Providing and Maintaining the Service: Creating and managing your account; enabling group features; tracking and displaying your fitness or workout information.
2. Improving the Service: Diagnostics, crash reports, performance monitoring, and feature development.
3. Communications: Sending updates about the Service, support responses, and (if you opt in) marketing emails about Squad Goals.
4. Promotional Use of Content (with consent): With your explicit permission, we may feature photos, videos, or other content you upload in Squad Goals promotional materials (for example, on our website, in advertisements, or on social media). You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting developer@valentinowong.com.
5. Compliance and Enforcement: Investigating fraud or misuse of the Service; enforcing applicable terms, agreements, or policies.

We do not use your personal information for third-party targeted advertising, data brokerage, or tracking you across other companies’ apps and websites.

5. Third-Party Services and Integrations

We use third-party services to operate and enhance our Service:

• Supabase: For database, authentication, and file storage.
• Expo Application Services (EAS): For app builds and deployment.

These providers process data on our behalf pursuant to their own privacy policies and are engaged to support the operation of the Service.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

1. With Service Providers: We may share personal information with vendors and service providers to perform tasks on our behalf (for example, Supabase for data storage/authentication and EAS for app builds and deployment). These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.
2. Promotional Content (with consent): If you opt in, your uploaded content may be used in Squad Goals marketing as described above. We will not sell your content to third parties for unrelated purposes.
3. For Legal or Compliance Reasons: If required by law, or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency), or to protect our rights and property.
4. Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be transferred.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with ad networks for personalized advertising or cross-app tracking.

7. International Users

Currently, we do not actively support users located outside our primary region. However, if you access or use the Service from outside that region, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

8. Data Retention

We store personal data indefinitely unless you choose to delete it or we decide to remove it earlier for operational, legal, or other reasons.

You can permanently delete your personal data at any time using the Delete Account feature located in your account settings within the Squad Goals app. When you delete your account, all associated personal data will be removed from our systems.

Once deletion is complete, your data will no longer be accessible. Some anonymized or aggregated data that cannot reasonably be linked back to you may be retained for analytics and service improvement purposes.

9. Security Measures

We take standard security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption: We use encryption for data transmission and storage where reasonably feasible.
• Access Controls: Access to personal information is limited to those employees, agents, and contractors who need it for legitimate business purposes.

Despite these measures, no security practice is 100% foolproof. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your personal information.

10. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove that information and terminate the child’s account.

11. Push Notifications

You may opt in to receive push notifications regarding updates, new features, or promotions. If you wish to discontinue push notifications, you can disable them through your device settings.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time by posting the revised version on our Website. Changes become effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

13. Dispute Resolution and Complaints

1. Contact Us First: If you have any complaints regarding our data handling practices, we encourage you to contact us directly at developer@valentinowong.com so we can work towards a resolution.
2. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: This Privacy Policy and any dispute arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
3. Arbitration Clause:
   • Arbitration Agreement: By using the Service, you and Squad Goals agree to resolve any disputes arising from or relating to this Privacy Policy or the Service through final and binding arbitration conducted remotely, rather than in court.
   • Arbitrator and Rules: The arbitration shall be conducted by a neutral arbitrator, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
   • No Class Actions: You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis, and you waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
4. Severability: If any provision of this Privacy Policy or the arbitration clause is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

By installing, accessing, or using the Squad Goals Apps or Website, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
